Biota is relaxing strategy game about the earliest stages of life on earth. About 580 million years ago the first multi-cellular organisms lived. Can you reach the Cambrian Period in an environment where Oxygen is constantly depleting?

Maybe I don't understand something, but how to play this game? I tried clicking on the cells and on the scales, but it doesn't change anything.

I think you have to play the game in fullscreen, the store panel doesn’t show up like that. I don’t know why.

Cyanobacteria says "produces oxygen at a ready state", but no matter how many I build oxygen keeps going down.

Oxygen constantly gets depleted by placing cyanobacteria the depletion is hemmed. This is not communicated very well, thanks for the feedback. The objective of the game is to reach the Cambrian Period without loosing all oxygen. Thanks for playing!

If there is no way to get oxygen, I wouldn't call this game "relaxing", as it is basically playing against a deatch-clock, while resources are very scarce and even the building area gets clogged up. Without oxygen production it feels more like a frantic survival horror resource management game.

Maybe you could add some relaxing mode in which the cyanobacteria actually do increase oxygen.
